In the book I interpret the 7 churches of Asia to really mean the chakras of Assiyah. While it's tempting to riff on the this as I did, and there were sources I referred to that took the same tack, I would remove this assertion from a rewrite. I've been doing a deep dive on the Book of Revelation and find it to be difficult to take a similar exegesis approach that I've taken with the Hebrew Bible to an interpretation of Revelation. I've been drawn into attempts to do an interpretation because it features pictorial images that I've hanged my hat on concerning the prophesies I've discussed. Surprisingly though, I've seen academics such as Gregory Beale, show that much of these images were brought into the Book from the Prophets such as Ezekiel, Zachariah and Isaiah. Interestingly enough, Revelation relies heavily on Daniel which is included in the New Testament as a Prophet. However, in the Hebrew Bible, Daniel is inlcuded in Writings - not in Prophets. Rationale I've seen was that it doesn't follow the structure seen in other prophetic material. I've come to view the Book of Revelation as problematic which I will expand on in another post in the Religion Catergory.
